Action4Youth Unveils State-of-the-Art Renovation at The Caldecotte Xperience

In a powerful statement of support for young people, Action4Youth officially opened its newly renovated facility at The Caldecotte Xperience outdoor adventure centre. The unveiling, held on Thursday, May 1st, marked the culmination of three years of dedicated fundraising and construction work aimed at transforming the centre into a fully accessible, modern hub for youth development.
The upgraded building now offers a light-filled, welcoming, and flexible space designed to meet the needs of the more than 15,000 children and young people who visit the centre each year. With a strong emphasis on inclusivity, the facility is now fully accessible, allowing young people of all abilities to participate in the wide range of land- and water-based activities offered on site.
“This is a truly encouraging move by Action4Youth at a time when many youth services are facing budget cuts,” said one attendee at the opening event. “To see a voluntary sector organisation not only upgrading facilities but also investing in staff to support young people is both heartening and essential—especially given the rising concerns around youth mental health.”
