In the last decade, youth services in England have suffered a 73% real term cut in funding. Charities
have had to step up and fill the gap. As the umbrella organisation for hundreds of local boys and girls
clubs across the United Kingdom, our mission is to assist and support these clubs in delivering sport
and activity programmes to over 300,000 young people a year, many of whom are from
disadvantaged backgrounds.
Over the years, our clubs have touched thousands of lives and produced an unrivalled alumni of
British sporting and cultural heroes, including Tyson Fury, Idris Elba, Antony Joshua and Lucy Bronze,
all of whom needed our services as young people to start their careers.
